Obama Campaign 1

I just signed up to volunteer with Obama’s Navada campaign on October 18 and 19. I’ve been assigned to is in the Las Vegas region. I wanted to go to a swing state because I think I can do the most good in those areas. Time and expense are all out of my own pocket but I get to be part of something amazing. It’s the first time I’ve been excited about a politican, and it’s going to be interesting. I like to experience Obama’s campaign and the organizational system he has set up. Maybe all those years working as a community activist helped him understand how to organize and mobilize a large group of people to get things done. He has been the only politican that has reached out to his supporters and asked for more than just money, he has ask for them to be involved. He has utilized the Internet to drive contributions, distribute information, discuss policies, and mobilize his supporters. He used the Internet more effectively than Fortune 1000 companies. If this is any indication of his presidency, then it’s going to be an amazing 8 years.
