Description
When you keep doing the same thing over and over again, you wish you can automate the repetitive tasks. Rapid Application Development platform was Siemens solution to streamline repetitive coding tasks. Siemens Medical Imaging group wanted to create software building blocks for developers to assemble like Legos. Instead of rewriting code every-time they create a new medical application, why not reassemble and re-usable code so developers can concentrate on creating algorithms instead of rewriting code.
The platform was a graphical user interface for building medical software. It works by enabling users to link information from different blocks of code they dragged onto the platform. Developers were able to assemble medical imaging software rapidly by linking these blocks together. I worked with developers to learn and understand how developers code. By understanding the way they work, I was able to create tools and streamline interactions.
- Created unique graphic interface to link nested data
- Application allows developers to rapidly develop medical imaging applications
- Patent pending: Link Objects in 3D Visual Programming Environment.
